About WPBW
Since 1931, the Woodstock Professional and Business Women (WPBW) has been a vital force in the community, empowering local businesswomen through networking, mentorship, and educational opportunities. Beyond supporting professional growth, WPBW is dedicated to civic enrichment and community outreach—most notably spearheading the effort to build a replica of the historic 1873 Springhouse in Woodstock Square in 1976.
Funded primarily through the annual Woodstock Autumn Art Tour, WPBW gives back to the community through several key initiatives:

Frances Kuhn Scholarships: Named after the late Mayor and former member, these scholarships support local women in School District 200 who are returning to school to pursue a degree or advance their skill set.

Angela Burden Award: Honors a Woodstock business or organization that embodies the late member’s spirit of community devotion and generosity.

Shelly Eslick Memorial Scholarship: Awarded to the Miss Woodstock runner-up in memory of a dedicated, long-time member who tirelessly organized WPBW's meetings, venues, and events.

Community Support: WPBW actively assists the annual Christmas Clearing House through substantial monetary donations and hands-on volunteer work.
