Artisans on Main is composed of members of The Clayworkers Guild of Illinois, who use clay, glass and painting as an expressive medium. The artists strive to aid, encourage, advise and work together to support each other and our community.

This “Artisan Market” is a fine crafts marketplace and creative outlet that benefits both our community and the 100+ participating Artisans…local, regional, and national. There’s always something new here at the “market.”

Raymond creates signature style Mosaic, Copper Foil and Mixed Media stain glass pieces utilizing old, repurposed window/picture frames. His unique artwork uses recycled items, shells, stones, beads and metal art. Notably, his smaller pieces still follow copper foil designs.

Alicia is an artist, author, mentor and guide…a passion for art and helping people has been her drive. She believes in the Degas quote “Art is not
what you see, it is what you make others see.” She uses oil, acrylic and watercolors in her paintings. Additionally, Alicia has written and published her new book “The Mermaid Who Found Her Home.” This book contains all her own drawings as well.

Karen designs wearable ART jewelry. She is also a watercolor artist. Her jewelry creations are unique utilizing sterling silver, copper, gold-filled metalwork, leather, silk, beads and “kiln fired” enamels with images inspired by nature. Marilyn creates assemblages of found objects and ephemera. Some noted elements include architectural remnants, vintage fabrics and metal.
According to Marilyn, “each element of the art piece is appreciated or even cherished just AS IT IS…each individual piece contributes its meaning and beauty to the composition”.

Lauren’s art specialty is “Paper Quilling.” Quilling is a unique art form that involves the use of strips of paper that are rolled, shaped and glued together to create spectacular decorative designs.
